FGCU Lutgert College of Business Invites Media to Annual W. Thomas Howard Lecture Featuring John Allison of BB&T Corporation
FORT MYERS, FL - Florida Gulf Coast University Lutgert College of Business invites the media to the 12th Annual W. Thomas Howard Lecture, in honor of Tommy and Mary Frances Howard, at 5:45 p.m., Thursday, Nov. 6 in the Media Room at the Main Clubhouse of Grandezza Golf and Country Club, 11481 Grande Oak Blvd., in Estero.
This year's lecture will focus on Leadership and Values featuring John A. Allison, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of BB&T Corporation as the keynote speaker.
BB&T is a $136.5 billion financial-holding company based in Charlotte, North Carolina. Allison has exhibited a career-long pattern of principled leadership based upon a moral defense of capitalism. BB&T's corporate culture has high expectations for fulfilling the values of reality, objectivity, independent thinking, productivity, honesty, integrity, justice, pride, self-motivation and teamwork on the part of each and every employee.
Bradley K. Hobbs, professor of Economics in the Lutgert College of Business at Florida Gulf Coast University will moderate the event.
