Hosts Credit Workshop at CNL Bank Bonita Springs
FORT MYERS, FL - The Small Business Development Center at Florida Gulf Coast University, in partnership with CNL Bank of Bonita Springs, hosts a workshop, "The Three R's of Repairing, Restoring and Reusing Your Credit," from 8:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m., Thursday, Sept. 17 at CNL Bank headquarters, in Bonita Springs.
"The workshop will concentrate on small business owners who are struggling to meet their creditor's demands," stated Harry Looknanan, Certified Business Analyst with the SBDC. "Business owners need to know where they stand with their credit in order to be successful and stay in business."
In addition to covering the basic credit issues, the seminar will concentrate on how to read and understand a credit report, establishing and reusing credit and other pertinent information important to business owners.
The workshop will be presented by Dawn Russell, Financial Educator and VITA Coordinator for SW Consumer Counseling Agency. "Now more than ever business owners are facing many challenges, and unfortunately, credit issues are one of them," stated Russell. "No one wants to look at their credit report, but it is very important to realize that if you do not have good credit, financial institutions will not lend you money."
There is a $20 charge to attend, and includes a continental breakfast. CNL Bank is located at 9124 Bonita Beach Road. Reservations are recommended as seating is limited.
Registration can be completed online at http://cli.fgcu.edu/sbdc/register, or by calling the SBDC office at (239) 745-3700.
