FGCU Hosts Sustainability Week Sept. 27 to Oct. 2
FORT MYERS, FL - Florida Gulf Coast University hosts "FGCU Sustainability Week," Sunday to Friday, Sept. 27 to Oct. 2 in the Student Union. Presentations and informational displays will bring the FGCU community up to date on the sustainability initiatives undertaken by members of the FGCU campus community.
The event will be of interest to students, staff and faculty at FGCU, and interested community members.
The week kicks off on Monday with the Estero Bay Watershed Public Symposium. This symposium includes presentations on water quality and habitat in the Estero Bay region. Tuesday's activities focus on campus and regional transportation issues. Wednesday, speakers from across campus share information on sustainability accomplishments, followed by closing remarks by FGCU President Wilson G. Bradshaw. Thursday, the Student Government sponsors trail hikes, workshops, and presentations by students. The week closes on Friday with Sustainability Splash Down events at the North Lake Village waterfront sponsored by Campus Recreation.
