FGCU Hosts Professor from University of the Witwatersrand to Discuss Business Opportunities in South Africa, Feb. 24
FORT MYERS, FL - Florida Gulf Coast University Lutgert College of Business hosts guest speaker John Luiz, professor from University of the Witwatersrand in South Africa to discuss "Future Business Opportunities in South Africa," 3 p.m. to 5 p.m., Thursday, Feb. 24 at the Sugden Welcome Center on campus.
Luiz teaches International Business Strategy, Business, Society and Government, and the Economics of Emerging Markets at the Wits Business School. He also serves as director of International Programmes. Previously, he served as executive dean in the Faculty of Management at the University of Johannesburg.
In addition, Luiz works as a consultant, and has undertaken research for African Development Bank in Tunisia; Development Bank of Southern Africa; Industrial Development Corporation; Department of Trade and Industry; United States Agency for International Development; Johannesburg Development Agency; and Centre for Development and Enterprise among others.
Program registration begins at 2:30 p.m. Reception with speaker follows from 5 p.m. to 6 p.m. Seating is limited to 50. Cost is $25 in advance and $35 at the door.
