Hurricane Preparedness Topic of Discussion at SBDC Seminars

FORT MYERS, FL - Hurricane Preparedness for Small Businesses will be the topic of discussion at Florida Gulf Coast University Small Business Development Center's (FGCU/SBDC) PB & J Brown Bag Lunch from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m., Wednesday, June 15 at FGCU's Sugden Welcome Center. The seminar is free and open to the public, but reservations are required as seating is limited.

The program will be facilitated by Dan Regelski, SBDC director. Complimentary peanut butter and jelly sandwiches will be served.

On Saturday, June 18 from 10 a.m. to noon, the SBDC will partner with Sunshine Ace Hardware located at 141 Tamiami Trail, Naples, for a Hurricane Preparedness Seminar and Expo.

A panel discussion will take place from 10:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. with representatives from the Collier County Emergency Management Center, Naples Fire Department, Collier Sheriff's Department and Small Business Development Center.

In addition to the panel discussion, several Sunshine Ace vendors will be on hand displaying hurricane goods needed during a disaster. Attendees can also register to win several door prizes throughout the event.

SCORE Naples, Greater Naples Chamber of Commerce and American Red Cross will also be participating. Attendees are asked to register at www.sbdcseminars.org.
