FGCU Renaissance Academy Announces Crime Scene Investigation (CSI) Lecture Series
FORT MYERS, FL - The Renaissance Academy of Florida Gulf Coast University announces the start of its winter/spring 2012 Science & Medicine lecture series with a presentation by Mara Mayer, an instructor with a professional background in forensic anthropology and archaeology. Mayer's lecture, "Crime Scene Investigation: Behind the Scenes," is a three-part lecture to be held Mondays, Feb. 6, Feb. 13, and Feb. 20, 1 p.m. to 2:30 p.m., at the Academy's 8695 College Parkway, Ft. Myers location. The cost of this lecture series is $60 and pre-registration is required. Among the Renaissance Academy's offerings are affordable, non-credit single lectures, short courses, day trips, computer classes, film series, life enrichment classes, writing workshops, travel abroad programs and other special events. There are no exams or grades, just learning for the joy of learning with friends, neighbors and peers. Course fees are typically $25 per lecture, and provide access to Academy programs located at 12 locations throughout Collier, Lee and Charlotte counties.
