FGCU Small Business Development Center Hosts Regional Matchmaker Workshop, June 6
FORT MYERS, FL - Florida Gulf Coast University's Small Business Development Center hosts the 10th annual Supplier Diversity Regional Matchmaker workshop for business owners seeking to do business with local, state and federal governments, Wednesday, June 6 at the Cohen Center. The morning kicks off at 8:30 a.m. with a continental breakfast sponsored by Costco.
Several presentations will be held throughout the morning by representatives from the SBDC, Wells Fargo, City of Fort Myers Housing Authority, Department of Environmental Protection, SBA and others representing the construction industry.
Lee County Commissioner Ray Judah will be on hand in the late morning to give a brief update on what is happening in Lee County. At noon, lunch will be provided by the Lee County Port Authority, followed by one-on-one sessions with the various agencies from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. Signup sheets will be available at registration.
Lorna Kibbey, of Kibbey Leadership Solutions, will offer tips for small business owners. Kibbey is a nationally-recognized motivational speaker who designs and delivers customized speeches and seminars in all subjects related to leadership, communication and motivation.
