FGCU Teams with World Instructor Training Schools (W.I.T.S.) to Bring Personal Fitness Trainer Certification Course to Fort Myers and Punta Gorda
FORT MYERS, Fla. - Continuing Education and Off Campus Programs at Florida Gulf Coast University (FGCU) is teaming up with World Instructor Training Schools (W.I.T.S.) to offer a Personal Trainer Certification course in Fort Myers (8695 College Parkway) and Punta Gorda (117 Herald Ct.).
Classes at the Fort Myers location take place on Saturdays, March 9 through May 11. Classes at the Punta Gorda location take pace Tuesdays and Thursdays, March 5 through May 2. The course is taught by W.I.T.S. Participants will become a W.I.T.S. Certified Personal Trainer upon completion of all course requirements and documentation of the necessary CPR/AED first aid training.
Free orientations will be offered in Punta Gorda on Tuesday, Feb. 19, 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.; or in Fort Myers on Saturday, Feb. 23, 10:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.
This program is eligible for Workforce Investment Act Funding, Veteran's Education benefits. Please check with the college, your local workforce investment board, veteran's administration or visit military.com for more details.
The course is approved for continuing education hours for massage therapists, athletic trainers and occupational therapists.
