FGCU Invites Community to Research Day 2013, April 19
FORT MYERS, Fla. - Florida Gulf Coast University (FGCU) invites the public to attend the annual Research Day event at 11 a.m. Friday, April 19 at Alico Arena. Research Day, established in 2002, highlights, celebrates and recognizes research related scholarly achievements accomplished by FGCU faculty, staff and students.
Faculty at FGCU are actively engaged in research activities in sciences, engineering, social sciences, health professions, business, education, training programs, instructional technology and broadcast services, among others. On Research Day, students, staff and faculty have the opportunity to present their research findings in accordance with the peer-review standards of their respective disciplines. There will be 319 presentations involving nearly 600 participants. Among the presentations, 306 are poster presentations and 13 are oral presentations.
The Research Day award ceremony, which recognizes participants and award recipients, will begin at 3:30 p.m. in Alico Arena.
