FGCU Small Business Development Center and Florida Department of Environmental Protection to Host Panel Discussion on April 17
FORT MYERS, Fla. - Florida Gulf Coast University (FGCU) Small Business Development Center (SBDC) and Florida Department of Environmental Protection will host the second annual Earth Day program, "Economic Growth and Business," Wednesday, April 17 at the Cohen Center. Registration begins at 8:30 a.m. with the program promptly beginning at 9 a.m.
The program will have two panel discussions featuring several representatives from governmental agencies reviewing local, state and federal environmental rules, statutes, and directives that can help or hinder smart growth. Agencies include Southwest Florida International Airport, Collier County Government, Lee County Government, and Big Cypress Water Management District.
Private sector panel includes a discussion of local, state and federal environmental rules, statutes, and directives that can help or hinder a company's growth. Presenters include Garden Street Recycling, Stafford Engineering, Green Ground Effects, Buckingham Farms, and HSA Engineers & Scientists.
There will be several display venues by government and nonprofits available for attendees to visit before, during breaks, and after the panel discussions have ended.

The Small Business Development Center at Florida Gulf Coast University is a dynamic community-based resource, which helps small business owners take advantage of new opportunities to grow their business through a diverse collection of programs and services.
