Ian joined the Coastal Watershed Institute staff in the spring of 2011. He graduated in 2008 with a BS in Chemistry from Austin Peay State University, where he worked with Dr. Carrie Brennan on developing high pressure liquid chromatography undergraduate laboratories for instrumental and forensic chemistry courses.  Ian is a current graduate MS student at Illinois State University where he worked with Dr. Christopher Mulligan on the application of desorption electrospray ionization mass spectrometry in the area of environmental monitoring of pharmaceutical and personal care products in aqueous media.  He plans on defending his thesis summer 2011.
