Hockey Club Tops in Nation
FGCU's Division II hockey club claimed the American Collegiate Hockey Association national championship Tuesday with a 4-2 victory over Grand Valley State (Mich.) in the American Collegiate Hockey Association Division II title game.
The club, the top-ranked team in DII's Southeast region, captured five wins in five days, defeating Michigan, Colorado State, Northeastern, Michigan State and Grand Valley State in the championship, held at Germain Arena. Complete tournament scores

Team president and captain, graduate student Mike Lendino, was named the Tournament MVP.
The ACHA features close to 500 teams in five divisions, three for men and two for women. Some players have continued
