Disc Golf Course Description

a

Descriptions of all eighteen holes

Front Nine - (Better for beginners)

Hole # 1 : (237 feet)  Par 3 - This hole starts at the waterfront office / clubhouse and extends eastward on the side of the beach.   Stay Right to avoid the palms and the housing.  Landing in the water is a -5 penalty.

Hole # 2 : (283 feet)  Par 3 - This hole continues down the beachfront and extends through a big open field.  Beware of the sunbathers to the right.

Hole # 3 : (205 feet)  Par 3 - This hole is a tight hole between the line of palm trees.  Beware of the housing to the left it is tight as well.  The tee off starts about 15 feet from the building in the middle of the ditch.

Hole # 4 : (245 feet)  Par 3 - This hole is a big curve to the right through a field.  This hole ends with a blind finish, just 50 feet before the end of the dorms.  To spot the basket move to the left of the tee pad and look behind the short palmettos.

Hole # 5 : (255 feet) Par 3 - This hole you just have to send the disc down the field straight, and beware of cross players and the big ditch to the right.

Hole # 6 : (197 feet) Par 3 - This is a short toss, but a hole in one is definitely possible.  But beware of the rough areas, since they are thick. (FIRST HOLE IN ONE - Taken by Billy Turnbull, Fort Myers, Fl.)

Hole # 7 : (275 feet) Par 3 -This hole starts on the north side of the field.  The fairway is straight down the field and to the left in the rough area at the end.  Beware of oncoming pedestrians and cars.  Landing past the sidewalk to the right is a -2 penalty.

Hole # 8 : (295 feet) Par 4 - This one is a long hole through some rough areas.  Playing this hole conservatively usually pays off.  I have seen a patch or two of poison ivy on this hole in the middle by the palmetto's. (FIRST HOLE IN ONE - Taken by Nate Fellows,(13 yrs old), Dayton, OH.)

Hole # 9 : (260 feet) Par 3 - This hole dog legs to the left.  It has a nice lay up area just before the hole.  You can take the right side of the clearing if you get slightly off the fairway.  Cross the road

Back Nine - (These are slightly more difficult.)

Holes # 10: .(285 feet) Par 3 - Please beware of pedestrians and traffic!  You will have no problems in this low traffic area, if you are patient.  (FIRST HOLE IN ONE - Taken by Dale Schwegle, Bonita Springs, Fl)

Hole # 11 : (310 feet) Par 3 - Say good bye to the easier part of the course.  I would reccomend a spotter on this hole to deter the loss of discs.  This hole is a high shooting right curve that will test your ability to be frugal at the tee.

Hole # 12 : (255 feet) Par 3 -  Stay away from the left of this scenic prairie shot even thought the shot curves to the left at the end.   Enjoy the area, and keep it clean.

Holes # 13: (265 feet) Par 3 - If you are going to pucker on a shot on the back nine this would be it.  This long strait shooter has thick foliage on both sides of the fairway.   The pin is placed off to the left. (FIRST HOLE IN ONE - Taken by Dale Schwegle, Bonita Springs, Fl)

Hole # 14 : (255 feet) Par 3 -   Up and over the burm you go.  Dont let this hole get to your head.  It is really easy to scout and find discs on. I would let it rip straight down the middle, see what happens.

Holes # 15: (275 feet) Par 3 - As long as you stay out of the rough to the right you are ok here.  The parking lot is OB but the rough is really, really rough.  This is the one spot that I would say, if you go right I wouldn't even look.

Holes # 16: (245 feet) Par 3 - This is a fun right bending hole.  Your disc will often hit the burm and pop to the left.  Watch the wetland areas they are home to much of florida's finest wildlife.

Hole # 17 : (265 feet) Par 3 -   Tight and narrow is the game.  This hole compensates its difficulty by switching a straight forward shot with OB / wetland areas.  There are certian times of the year, this hole will be trouble to the water magnet.  (FIRST HOLE IN ONE - Taken by Dale Schwegle, Bonita Springs, Fl)

Holes # 18: (310 feet) Par 3 - One more big shot to the right and your day is done. Prepare to need a good upshot during the wet months.
