As of Spring 2012, the Sport Clubs Office has 26 teams for current FGCU students to join.  In addition to the lineup of clubs, Sport Clubs also offers leadership opportunities, where students can learn the essentials in organization, budgeting and event planning for the real world after college.

The Sport Clubs program aims to facilitate the growth of students on campus through hands-on experiences, and by providing an atmosphere that encourages teamwork.  This aim is facilitated by students taking the lead in the daily management of current clubs, as well as the development of new Sport Clubs and leadership positions within the Sport Clubs Council.

If you don't see the sport that interests you, consider starting a new sport club. All Sport Clubs begin as Registered Student Organizations (RSOs), so be sure to check out the resources on the Office of Student Involvement's website, as well as the Sport Club website here.

Get involved and stay active!

Notice: All Sport Clubs have open membership to FGCU students, regardless of skill, experience or gender.

There may be tryouts and/or fees for the club's competitive travel team.  If a student does not make the travel team they are still eligible to participate at a recreational level.
