FGCU's First National Champion!!
Garrett Owens became FGCU's first ever National Champion in Colorado at the Collegiate National Powerlifting Championhsips this past Spring. Garrett who is President of the FGCU Power Club took seven of his fellow club members to the Championship and returned with three All Americans and three students placing in the top ten. Garrett, Jon Hernandez and Fred Lomangino also travelled to Aruba in June to represent the USA in an international powerlifting event and returned with no less than eight medals including two Golds!

This program area provides an excellent array of activities for students, faculty and staff to enjoy. From Ice Hockey to Wrestling or from Sailing to Martial Arts!!
We also provide students with the opportunity to learn essential organization, management, budgetary and leadership skills for the real world after college!
