Facility Rates

Rates for the use of University facilities are determined by category of event. The following categories have been established to designate when facility fees, contracts and/or insurance may be required for an event. Campus Reservations reserves the right to categorize each event. If unsure where your event may fall, please contact an event planner at (239) 590-1090.

University Events

University Events are defined as:

• Events sponsored and coordinated solely by FGCU schools, colleges, and departments conducting official University activities.
• Events sponsored and coordinated solely by FGCU Student Organizations officially registered through the Office of Campus Involvement or those groups pending registration who have been authorized by Campus Involvement.
• Events Sponsored and coordinated solely by University sanctioned centers, institutes and grants conducting official University Activities.
• Events that fall into one of the above categories and meet all requirements will have no facility rental charges assessed but may have direct service related fees assessed.

University Sponsored Events

University Sponsored Events are defined as events hosted by a recognized student organization or university department in conjunction with an outside group or entity.

Requirements:

• A University contact must coordinate the event with Campus Reservations.
• Contract and insurance will be required from the outside group and/or entity.
• University contact must be in attendance at the event and serve as liaison to Campus Reservations.
• FGCU department must provide an FGCU account for charge back in the event the outside organization fails to pay.

The event will have a discounted facility rental charge assessed and may have direct service related fees assessed.

Outside Groups

Outside groups, will always require a contract and proof of insurance and are defined as:

• For profit organizations/entities
• Non-profit/ Governmental Agencies (discounted rates apply)
• Active Alumni Association Members (discounted rates apply)
• FGCU Students/Faculty and Staff wishing to use university facilities for non-university related activities.
• Outside persons unaffiliated with the University
