Program Admission Requirements
  1. Submission of a FGCU Post-Baccalaureate Non-Degree Application to the Office of Graduate Admissions.
  2. Master's degree in nursing from a nationally accredited program with cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher on 4.0 scale.
  3. Submission of official transcripts from each post secondary institution attended.
  4. Current and unrestricted RN license with eligibility for Florida Licensure.
  5. Completion of the following courses:
    • Advanced Physiology/Pathophysiology
    • Advanced Health Assessment (taken within the past five years)
    • Concepts and Roles of Advanced Practice (taken within the past five years)

    Complete courses in one of the following concentrations for those seeking national certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) or as an Adult-Gerontology Primary Care Nurse Practitioner (ANP).

Additional Graduation Requirements
  • Earn a minimum of 37-40 semester hours with a cumulative grade point average of 3.0 on all course work attempted at FGCU.
  • Earn a grade of B or above in all required courses.
