FGCU's Continuing Education Division and the Southwest Florida Leadership Foundation are collaborating to present a critical topic for our area businesses: "The Generational Imperative: Bridging the Generation Gaps in the Workplace and Community". The presentation will be delivered by Mr. Chuck Underwood, founder and president of The Generational Imperative.
The Generational Imperative is a research-driven generational consultancy. Underwood works with organizations nationwide and explains the influence of generational values on the American population's consumer, career and lifestyle decisions. He recently published a book titled, "The Generational Imperative: Understanding Generational Differences in the Workplace, Marketplace and Living Room."
Participants in the workshop will learn about the four generations, "Silents, Boomers, Generation X, and Millenials, and what motivates each specific generation in the workplace. The workshop will help participants discover how to get the best of each generation and create a thriving workplace with these diverse generations.
Registration for the workshop is $65 for members in the Chamber of Commerce in Southwest Florida and $75 for non-members. The cost for all Educational Institutions(Faculty & Staff ) is $40 with appropriate ID, students $30; and $80 to register at the door day of event. Program includes: Full Buffet Breakfast, Speaker: Chuck Underwood, Generational Dynamics Workshop; Best Practices Roundtable Discussion.
