Dr. George Alexakis has had three distinct careers as a small business operator, business consultant, and university administrator and professor. He has been a full time business and hospitality management faculty member since 1995. He has taught a wide variety of business and hospitality management courses at the undergraduate and MBA level. As a researcher, he has published numerous management articles and a human resources textbook chapter. Areas of teaching, expertise, and research include Strategy & Policy, Human Resources Development, Leadership and Motivation, Management, and Organizational Communications.

Corporate activities include roles as a business consultant and seminar trainer. Numerous organizations have enlisted the services of Dr. Alexakis including Perry Ellis, Princess Margaret Hospital, Ryder, Ocean Bank, Burger King International Headquarters, Sandals Resorts International, Grace Kennedy & Company, Royal Palm Homes, and University of Illinois. He has taught, trained, or consulted in the following places: Canada, Greece, Hawaii, Israel, Jamaica, New York, Panama, The Bahamas, and throughout the State of Florida.
