Lina Bouayad is a PhD candidate at the University of South Florida and Visiting Instructor of Computer Information Systems at FGCU. She has a background in programming, statistics, computer science, software engineering and business. She has taught Systems Analysis and Design for two semesters at USF.

Bouayad's research involves the development of Java-based simulations and statistical analysis to investigate the selection of providers for "fraud, waste and abuse audit" in healthcare. She received a Bachelor's of Science in Computer Software and Engineering and a Master's in Management Information Systems from the University of South Florida. Her professional experience includes eight years of work related to programming and project management, and experience with Full Software Development Life-Cycle (SDLC).
