The Lutgert College of Business Regional Economic Development Office (REDO) was established to provide regional leadership in support of the economic development activities and enhance the well-being of the region that makes up the FGCU Service area. The REDO does this by working with
with the goals of: attracting new businesses to the region; retaining existing skilled employees; and providing the linkage between the region's business community and the University.

The Regional Economic Research Institute (RERI) was developed to perform economic research, analysis, and forecasting for both the region and the individual economic development organizations in this area. The Small Business Development Center (SBDC) at Florida Gulf Coast University is a dynamic community-based resource which helps small businesses in the region start up and grow. The mission of the Institute For Entrepreneurship (IFE) is to foster entrepreneurial spirit and enhance entrepreneurial success. We accomplish this by linking FGCU's academic program in Entrepreneurship to the surrounding community. For more information, visit the IFE website
