National Society of Minorities in Hospitality

NSMH is the largest student-run hospitality organization in the nation and has become the premier professional organization for the development of minority talent and leadership in the world. Established in 1989 at Cornell University, NSMH currently has over one thousand four hundred students involved nationally. Being a part of NSMH is not about being a minority, but understanding how accepting and appreciating all the differences that anyone can face can make us better leaders in our industry. Being a part of NSMH is about promoting diversity, maximizing students' potential, developing strong leadership skills, building key relationships and finding new opportunities. NSMH is open to all hospitality majors.

Student Chapter of Club Manager Association of America (CMAA)

The FGCU Chapter of CMAA is a student organization that offers a source of education, networking, and professional development to students interested in the club industry. The FGCU chapter of CMAA holds regularly scheduled meetings under the guidance of a faculty advisor and a CMAA liaison manager. Chapter meetings provide students with opportunities to participate in valuable career growth and leadership. Each meeting has a guest speaker from the club management profession, which provides a valuable benefit to our student members.
