Please note that the Bursar's site does not include Tuition and Fees for the Executive MBA program. For that information, go to the EMBA website.

Financial Aid and Estimated Cost of Attendance

Graduate Tuition Waivers and Assistantships

Each academic year the Lutgert College of Business (LCOB) is awarded a limited number of Graduate Tuition Waivers. The LCOB awards the majority of its Graduate Tuition Waivers in the fall semester for the upcoming academic year (fall and spring semesters). Any unused waivers will be awarded the following semester in the same academic year.

Lutgert College of Business Graduate Tuition Waivers Application Process

Applicants for the LCOB Graduate Tuition Waiver must meet the following minimum eligibility requirements:

  • Be admitted as a degree seeking student to the LCOB program by the deadline date. (Non-degree seeking students are not eligible to apply.)
  • Be enrolled for a minimum of six graduate level business credit hours. (Non- Business and undergraduate level classes are not covered.)
  • Must have a minimum of a 3.2 GPA. This will be calculated from upper level undergraduate course work if the student has earned less than nine graduate credits.
  • Must submit ALL of the following documents:
    • Graduate Tuition Waiver Application
    • Résumé
    • Personal Statement indicating your goals and aspirations and why it is important for you to receive the tuition waiver

Note: Incomplete applications will not be considered.


The LCOB considers the following when awarding Graduate Tuition Waivers:

  • Student meets the minimum eligibility requirements for a Graduate Tuition Waiver
  • GMAT (or equivalent score on GRE) Score
  • Total Composite Score (Composite score=GPA[or equivalent score on GRE]X200+GMAT score)
  • Student retention
  • Recruitment of highly qualified new graduate students
  • Extraordinary financial need

A limited amount of funds may be made available to out-of-state and international students.


In addition, the LCOB may be able to offer up to three Graduate Assistantships that would include up to a $1,500 cash stipend per semester along with the waiver. Students receiving a stipend would be required to provide assistance to the College for 20 hours per week for 14 weeks each semester. Graduate Assistant(s) are selected from the pool of eligible graduate students awarded a Graduate Tuition Waiver who express an interest in the Graduate Assistant position(s). Awards are made for an academic year and are not automatically renewed. Students must indicate in the application form if they are interested in receiving a Graduate Assistantship along with the waiver.

Fall term: May 1st
Spring term: October 1st
Summer Term: March 1st (If funds are available)
