Graduate and Career Opportunities
FGCU finance students have been quite successful in their pursuit of graduate admissions. Our graduates have been accepted into a variety of nationally and internationally recognized graduates programs. A significant factor in this success is the fact that the FGCU College of Business is accredited by AACSB International, the most widely recognized business school accrediting body in the world. These students consistently report that the preparation they received as finance majors at FGCU is a solid foundation for graduate studies. The relatively large number of graduate placements for a school that is as young as FGCU is indicative of a high level of recognition of the FGCU finance degree at other academic institutions.
Firms in the southwest Florida job market have recognized the quality of FGCU's finance graduates. Graduates of the program typically receive offers for permanent employment either before or shortly after graduations. Starting salaries generally range from $30,00 to $40,000.
Many of our undergraduate students take advantage of opportunities for internships with local firms. These internships are typically paid positions and many of them result in the students receiving offers of permanent employment.
