Craig Randall, Assistant Professor of Management. Ph.D., Bentley University (2012). Craig's research focuses on entrepreneurship and innovation. He currently teaches in the BS and MBA programs and previously taught courses in Strategy and in Entrepreneurial Finance at Bentley University and at the University of Massachusetts.
Craig received a BS in Electrical Engineering from Carnegie Mellon University, after which he worked for General Electric programming and designing control systems in the Manufacturing Management Program. He then received an MBA from the Harvard Business School and went into the computer and communications industries. His career path was Product Management and Marketing, and finally as VP of Marketing & Sales (marketing, sales, international operations, support) at international Fortune 500 firms.
His first software startup was in the early 1990's, and went from VC funding to IPO 1997. He founded his last firm in the storage software business in 2002. After 3 years of always-profitable 30% quarter over quarter revenue growth, it was purchased by a public company in 2006.
