FGCU's Lutgert College of Business is accredited by AACSB International, the premier accrediting agency for all degree programs in business administration. Fewer than one-third of U.S. business school programs and only 15% of business school programs worldwide meet the rigorous standards of AACSB International accreditation.
We at the College are especially proud of the fact that the ambitious timeline to achieve accreditation, which we established in our first year of operation, was accomplished as planned. The first step toward accreditation, admission to Candidacy Status, was achieved in our second year of operation, ". . . one of the quickest schools to be on the candidacy list", according to an AACSB official. With the efforts of the entire College, the rest of the path to accreditation was on target, on time! We became accredited in April, 2003.
In announcing FGCU's accreditation, AACSB International commended the College of Business for its pervasive, contagious entrepreneurial spirit and community partnerships.
As a Graduate student in our Business Program, you will benefit from the entrepreneurial spirit that helped the College attain this elite status. For more on accreditation of both the College and the University, visit the Accreditation site.
Faculty at the Lutgert College of Business have been selected for their ability to balance both theory and practice in classroom instruction. Bringing their own diverse backgrounds to the program, the faculty places a premium on building critical thinking skills while applying this new knowledge to organizational problem-solving.
