Speaking Focus: In Honor of Black History Month

Jarrett  Eady is a  4th generation resident of Fort Myers, Florida.  Jarrett entered the Garnet and Gold halls of Florida State University and  served as Student Body President at Florida State University. 

He  renders  his community service  as President of the 100 Black Men of SW Florida, President of the National Pan-Hellenic Council of Southwest Florida, President of the Dunbar Festival Committee Inc., Chairman of the Lee County Black Affairs Advisory Board, Chairman of the Lee County Black History Society Board of Directors, and  former President of the Xi Omicron Lambda Chapter of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity Incorporated. 

Jarrett was nominated as  2007's Lee County Citizen of Year and selected as the Lee County School District's Social Studies Teacher of the Year during the 2008- 2009 school year. He currently serves as the Teacher Leader at James Stephens International Academy where he provides leadership, coaching and curriculum support for 25 dedicated  teachers.
