Home Computing
Computing Services strives to make computing easier for you. We know many of you will be working from home and need access to University resources. With a few easy steps you will have your office computer right in front of you. Once you have activated your university account you will have access to VPN (Virtual Private Network). The VPN connection will give you a secure connection to FGCU's network. Once connected to the VPN you will give you access to:
- FGCU network share drives
- Banner
- University "Intranet" sites
- Your office desktop computer
You may also decide you want ot connect (RDP- Remote Desktop Protocol) to your office computer. When using RDP you remotely connect to your office desktop and have all the same resources as if you were in the office. If you simply need to copy down a file you can connect to a network share drive as well . Please feel free to contact Computing Services with any questions
You can do all of this safely with your free copy of McAfee Anti virus for home use. Feel free to download and install the program,(Download now) you will need your login and password to acess the download.

*Please remember if you have another anti virus program you must remove it before you install Mcafee.
