| Job Description: |
NATURAL RESOURCE MANAGEMENT - Participate in wading bird nest monitoring program, record data and survey seagrass beds, conduct monofilament cleanup and trash removal on nesting islands, assist with one of our three water quality monitoring programs. EDUCATION - Assist in developing education and outreach materials for public access points (trail guides, interpretive materials, guided tours). Computer/Web Design - Design web site for Estero Bay Buddies, a citizen support organization or enter survey data for monitoring programs. HISTORICAL RECORDS PRESERVATION - Volunteer needed to assist in archiving of historical records. A collection of Lee County historical documents is in the process of being restored and archived, with the eventual goal to make it available on-line. Current needs are for a volunteer to scan original documents into a historical database. Knowledge of PastPerfect museum software preferred. This would be a good project for a history or library science major. |
