The Retired And Senior Volunteer Program (RSVP) provides an opportunity for senior citizens and retirees 55 years of age and older to make a difference in the community. Volunteer's interests, skills and knowledge are matched to a volunteer effort. RSVP represents over a hundred different non-profit agencies, schools and county government. RSVP is a program of the Senior Corps, funded by the Corporation for National Service and locally sponsored by Collier County Government. No membership fee is required, only the desire to help others in the community. Nationally, more than 500,000 RSVP volunteers bring a diverse range of experience and expertise to the program. Locally more than 850 RSVP volunteers are engaged in meaningful community service and activities in areas of education, public safety, human needs and the environment. |
| Job Description: |
We would also gladly welcome students to join the senior volunteers in the 1,000 Days to Read Program. One day a week volunteers read to two kindergarden or first grade students. It is an interactive reading program and instructions will be provided. |
