Project Help,Inc. is a professional organization that provides care and compassion through a 24-hour hotline and referral, crisis counseling, debriefing and crisis response to families in crisis, all victims of crime and those suffering trauma of death by homicide, suicide and accidents. We provide immediatee crisis response as well as individual, family, and group crisis counseling for survivors of sudden death and sexual assault.

Volunteers have several opportunities including working the hotline, Sexual Assault Response Team, Sudden Death Response Team, Administrative work, Fundraising, Event planning, Outreach, & Education. Volunteers are trained as peer counselors and learn active listening skills, crisis intervention, response procedures for emergency calls, how to assist victims of rape, domestic violence, or family member who have lost a loved one due to suicide, homicide, or an accident. They are the links to the professional staff at Project Help.

We provide training in crisis intervention and advocacy.

Students/Volunteers for the hotline may answer phone from their homes. The line is transferred to their home or cell line. 

Project Help has other areas in addition to volunteering for our hotline in which we need assistance.  At this time we currently have no funding for marketing or PR for the agency.  Marketing/PR/Communications etc. students can help us to create and design marketing materials and a PR campaign to help raise awareness in the community about the services we provide.  We also have a need for help in fundraising to design, plan and help implement fundraisers to help Project Help raise funds to continue providing our services at no charge to the community.

We would also like to re-design our current website.  Students from the computer/technology departments can aide us in this endeavor
