Details:

The Calusa Nature Center and Planetarium is a private nonprofit organization that was incorporated in the early seventies to serve children and adults with environmental education opportunities. The Center is home to many native reptiles, raptors, and shore birds. Two half mile boardwalk and crushed shell paths wind our 105 acres, and for the more adventurous, we offer a two and a half mile wilderness path. Our Planetarium offers astronomy learning opportunities and entertaining laser light shows. Telescope viewing and other special programs are held throughout the year. Several times a year, we hold large weekend family oriented events and fundraisers for the public.
