FGCU Kleist Health Education Center
The Kleist Health Education Center, located on the Florida Gulf Coast University campus is an educational not-for-profit organization devoted to healthy lifestyles. The program teaches visitors, primarily school children, to respect and care for themselves by making positive health choices. Interactive displays, life-like models and multimedia presentations are all part of our lifesaving curriculum. The Kleist Health Education Center is the only facility of its kind in the state of Florida.
||Help assist health educators and director with special events such as fund raisers, 5k walk/run etc. An opportunity may also exist to observe health education programs. Volunteers will be notified when special events arise.

||Working with our educators puts you in contact not only with the friendly, helpful center staff, but with Lee County public school children. This is a unique opportunity that would be highly beneficial for education, theater, and health majors, or anyone who truly enjoys working with children and can serve as a healthy role model and knowledgeable resource person. VOLUNTEERS MUST call and make an appointment with the Ex. Director, Dr. Renee McFarland BEFORE starting service learning experience.
