The Family Resource Center provides direct assistance to low income and no income people as well as refugee and immigrant services to qualified clients. Direct assistance includes food, utility, and prescription aid. |
| Job Description: |
We would use students in the food pantry and possibly to greet clients, to determine from charts when they were last here and how many bags of food they should get, and to document the action in the chart. We also do fundraising events now and then in which they could participate if desired. We could also use them in our refugee and immigration programs to make calls. An example would be calls to employers and clients in order to determine satisfaction. Depending on the skills and interests of students, there is much learning here. Students could learn charting methods involving good documentation and organization skills. |
