Details: The Conservancy of Southwest Florida 1495 Smith Preserve Way, Naples, FL 34102 - A 501 c 3 non-profit organization with a 50 year history of protecting Rookery Bay and Southwest Florida. Wildlife Hospital, Nature Center, Science and Policy departments. Email is the preferred method of contact.
Job Description: The Conservancy offers a wide-range of service learning opportunities including beach and canal clean-ups, facilitating games and activities during family events at our nature center, folding laundry at our wildlife hospital, and helping us maintain our trails.

Fall Semester Opportunities:

International Coastal Clean-up*
Delnor-Wiggins Pass State Park
Sat. September 16th, 8am-11am
Join our group and others around the world in picking up marine debris to help our oceans! Receive a T-shirt for participating.
3 hours

Conservancy Canal Clean-up
Sat. Oct. 7th, 9am-12pm
Fri. Nov. 10th, 9am-12pm
Kayak the Gordon River from Conservancy while picking up trash. Debris will be recorded and reported.
3 hours

Hoots and Hisses Event
Sat. Oct. 28th, 9:30am-4:30pm
Join us in engaging families in Halloween games, activities, and crafts!
3-7 hours


World Wildlife Conservation Day Event
Sat. Dec. 16th, 9:30am-4:30pm
Join us in engaging families in wildlife-themed games, activities, and crafts!
3-7 hours

On-going projects with flexible dates and times:

Assist with Dirty Laundry at our Wildlife Hospital
Flexible dates, 8:30am-5pm
Assist with loading dirty laundry and folding clean laundry. Get the unique opportunity to work in a behind-the-scenes environment at the von Arx Wildlife Hospital.
2-8 hour shifts available

Trail Maintenance
Wednesday mornings at 9am-12pm
Help us maintain our nature trails by trimming and clearing overgrowth and possibly planting new additions.
3 hours
