Details: Are you considering a career in healthcare? Volunteering with the NCH Healthcare System is the perfect way to become exposed to the many fields that the healthcare industry has to offer! The NCH Volunteer Program provides students with the unique opportunity to experience a healthcare setting while gaining personal satisfaction through helping others.
Job Description: Our college students serve in multiple departments, ranging from clinical to non-clinical, throughout the hospital and make a lasting impression on our patients, customers, and staff members. NCH Volunteers serve in over 100 departments. Some examples include: Emergency Room, Patient Ambassador, Arts In Healing, Accounting/General Ledger, Concierge, Snuggler, Golf Cart Driver, Food Service.

Benefits Offered: NCH provides volunteers with a free uniform top and free flu vaccination. Volunteers receive discounts at the NCH Wellness Centers, the NCH Cafeterias, and local businesses.
Additional Information: Volunteers may receive double hours for serving on weekends, holidays, or evening shifts.
All college volunteers are required to serve one 4 hour shift per week, and commit to a minimum of 3 months (some departments require a longer commitment). All volunteers must pass a criminal background check.
