The mission of the Harry Chapin Food Bank ("HCFB") is "to overcome hunger in our communities through education and by working in a cooperative effort with affiliated agencies in the procurement and distribution of food, equitably and without discrimination." The HCFB distributes emergency food through 160 partner agencies in five counties of S.W. Florida (Lee, Collier, Charlotte, Glades and Hendry).

Job Description:

Assist the Development Department with office operations, designing brochures, research, mailings and other tasks. Sorting Food Volunteers are needed to sort the food donated to the Food Bank for distribution to our partner agencies. It requires some lifting and bending. Sorting hours are Mon-Fri 8:30 to 11:30 and 12:30pm to 3:30pm. And most Saturdays 9am to 12noon. Contact Bedzaida Bryen.
