Literacy Volunteers of Lee County (LVLC) is a nonprofit organization that provides free and confidential help to adults who wish to achieve personal goals through literacy. We offer one-to-one and small group help in reading, writing, speaking and comprehending the English language. Our services are unique in that we provide tutoring designed specifically for each client, based on his or her individual needs, goals, priorities and abilities through the use of volunteer tutors.

Job Description:

Tutor adults as outlined above. Also volunteer to assist with fundraising, community outreach and program assistance (assessing and reassing adult students).

Times of Work: Weekdays daytime, Weekends daytime, Weekdays evenings, Weekends evenings

Tutor opportunities are available throughout Lee County. Tutors must attend an 8-hour training workshop and may receive a registration packet for the training by calling the Fort Myers Office (415-3621) or the Lehigh Acres Office (368-1002).
