An undergraduate student (SI leader) is hired who has a minimum 3.0 GPA, has had the historically difficult course before, and earned an "A" or “B” in it. These standards demonstrate that the SI leader knows the course content, but more importantly, they demonstrate that the SI leader knows how to learn the course content. This is what the SI leader helps students currently enrolled in the course learn how to do: learn how to learn the content of the historically difficult course. |
