The Alvin A. Dubin Alzheimer's Resource Center (Dubin Center) is a local United Way organization which provides assistance and support to persons with Alzheimer's and their caregivers in Lee County. The Center offers assistance through information and referral, counseling, health education, and crisis intervention.

Job Description:

All volunteers welcome, but we are particularly in need of Spanish-speaking Volunteers to assist at the center's office on a regularly scheduled day to take calls from Spanish-seeking caregivers. Duties/tasks include: * Accepting phone calls and visits from Spanish-speaking caregivers * Providing basic information about resources for caregivers * Gathering information for the center's social worker(s) in order to assess the caregivers needs * Translating in order for English-speaking social worker(s) to provide needed assistance to callers/visitors Requirements include: * Fluency in Spanish and English (speaking & writing) * Caring, patient, and compassionate person with an interest in helping older adults and family caregivers * Availability on a regularly schedule day and time each week * Pleasant phone etiquette and willingness to work with public
