Details: The Scholars Program provides assistance and enrichment opportunities to students who are considered at risk due to underrepresentation or economic status. The purpose of the Scholars Program is to support students in establishing and achieving service, leadership, citizenship, and academic excellence. Scholars Program chapters are currently in elementary (beginning in 4th grade), middle, and high schools in the following counties: Lee, Collier, Charlotte, Hendry and Glades. The program is free of charge to students.
Job Description: FGCU students are needed to assist with "College for a Day" campus visits, to facilitate activities during after-school programs in the five-county area, and to assist with weekend events such as Leadership Retreats (Saturdays). Volunteers may also be needed at the end-of-year event where graduating high school seniors are recognized.
Times of Work: Weekdays daytime, Weekdays evenings, Weekends daytime
