The Keep Lee County Beautiful (KLCB) organization was established at the direction of concerned community leaders from the public and private sector. KLCB was certified by its parent organization, Keep America Beautiful, Inc. and was granted a non-profit status as an environmental corporation in February 1990. It is responsible for coordinating and implementing a countywide litter education and prevention program involving the business community, local governments, organizations and individuals |
| Job Description: |
Students can earn service learning hours with KLCB in a variety of ways. For regular service learning hours, students can register and participate in one of our regular scheduled activites.
For the Civic Engagement service projects, students can create and implement a community cleanup event, a public awareness event, a beautification project or another event that would fit within the Keep Lee County Beautiful, Inc. mission statement. The tasks included in any of the above projects would include event planning/organization, fundraising, public relations and volunteer recruitment. |
