The Children’s Network of Southwest Florida is the not-for-profit Lead Agency for community-based care in Southwest Florida, serving Lee, Collier, Charlotte, Hendry and Glades Counties.  In short, we provide services and programs for children who have been placed into foster care, taken from their homes due to abuse, neglect or abandonment.  We also serve families that are at risk of abusing their children.  With over 1700 children under our care, our need is constant and great.      Statistics   1, 677 children in the child welfare system 121 new children in the month of July 2009 191 children available for adoption 1, 032 hotline reports of abuse in July alone 79 children have aged out of foster care and are in our independent living program      

We have opportunities for everything from hands on working with the children to event planning to fiscal responsibilities.  We offer learning in marketing/PR, events, training, mentoring and much more.

This aganecy works with abused and neglected children.  Some children live in foster homes, some with relatives and some in shelters.  The opportunties we have range from hands on to programatic.  Your committment can be short or long term.
