The Boys & Girls Club of LeeCounty is a local chapter of Boys & Girls Clubs of America. The organization provides daily afterschool and summer enrichment programs for the youth of this community. The Lee County Boys & Girls Club is a non-profit organization that serves the youth in the Lee County area with five units and two extentions. They provide them with opportunities to work with professional staff members and volunteers that love them and care about them and have a real interest in their moral development and opportunities or participate in programs that help compensate for life experiences and skills that are missing in their lives. |
| Job Description: |
Service Learning opportunites: Generalist- Offer general program assistance and supplement existing program delivery by providing additional supervision and assistance, along with staff members, either on a short term or a long term basis. Specialist - Bring specialized skills, experience and abilities to volunteer service and donate time in existing programs in their areas of expertise and knowledge. They serve as guest speakers or actually plan and conduct a short-term project within an existing program. Core programs include homework assistance, computer exploration, career exploration, substance abuse prevention, health power, environmental education, and cultural exploration. |
