| Job Description: |
Student groups may design and implement a special event such as an arts and crafts or game table to be done in the atrium of the hospital. They may do up to 2 events for a total of 6-8 service hours. Volunteers are responsible for providing the materials needed for all activities. The privacy and confidentiality of our patients and families deserve our utmost respect. This means, among other things that we DO NOT ALLOW PHOTOGRAPHS to be taken by visiting groups or individuals. (Photography of an event by the media, with appropriate prior arrangements and parent consent is permitted.) Please respect patient/family rights for privacy and avoid sensitive topics. Do not ask questions about diagnosis, age and length of hospital stay, or plans for going home. |
