Details:

The Lee County Coalition for a Drug-Free Southwest Florida provides prevention education and special events throughout Lee County.  Our mission is to keep the children of Lee County free from alcohol, drugs and tobacco.

Job Description:

Special Event Volunteers: Assist with events such as the Busey Bank Run for Prevention and Drug House Odyssey - A Lee County Prevention Event. Health Fair Volunteers:  Assist with community health fairs and outreach programs
Social Media: We need volunteers to tweet and instagram from Drug House Odyssey, a three day prevention event in Cape Coral. This would be a four hour shift.

We are looking for an organization interested in a long term project that would include fundraising. Foster kids and kids in the Abuse Counseling and Treatment Center Shelter often leave their homes with only the clothes on their backs. A fleece blanket is a luxury for them. We would like to invite an organization to raise funds to purchase fleece, or "no sew" blanket kits and make blankets for these at-risk children. Blankets will be distributed at Christmas, and the organization would be invited to help with the distribution. Extra blankets will be used in the ACT shelter throughout the year.
