Details: The goal of Cypress Cove is to provide quality healthcare in a caring, compassionate atmosphere. The emphasis here is on "family". We accomplish this through resident involvement, a dedicated and professional staff, and by promoting services to enhance the quality of life of our residents.
Job Description: The students volunteering at Cypress Cove will provide many services and programs which enhance and enrich the resident''s quality of life. Varied opportunities are available to the interested volunteer. Some of these activities can include
-assisting at programs such as crafts, baking, horticulture, socials, outings, worship services, sing songs, games, sensory stimulation, bible study, etc. -friendly visiting-reading with a resident-big events such as Senior Olympics or Assisted Living Week

Benefits Offered: Occasional meals or other treats may be offered at activities. Check with coordinator on each event to be sure.
Additional Information: We take volunteers 7 days a week!
Monday-Friday 8AM-4:30PM
Saturday- 9:30AM-5PM
Sunday- 1:30PM- 5PM

You can come volunteer and assist with our day to day activities or come for a special event.

Upcoming special events:

Friday, November 20th 2015
A carnival like day for residents that will include a psychic, stilt walker, classic car club, food, games, animals... a little bit of everything!
We really need volunteers to help run this event so please contact Amanda ASAP at if you are interested! This event will include a free lunch!

Deck our halls!
Help us decorate for the holidays any time during the first week of December- we can work around your schedule for this!

Tuesday, December 8th from 5-8PM
Lighting of the Christmas Tree
Help pass out hot cocoa and Christmas cookies to the residents as we enjoy live professional carolers in our courtyard as we "officially" begin celebrating the holiday.

Thursday, December 24th, 2015 anywhere from 9AM-4PM
Help get us ready for the big day!

ART PARTY- Ask about date
*We need students to help assist residents in creating a canvas art project

Group Projects that are currently open to tackle:
*Implementing Activity Kits on each nursing unit
*Starting an educational series for our high functioning rehab clients (maybe on how to use your ipad, art class etc.)
