Zion Lutheran Early Childhood Center offers a Christ-centered, Biblically-directed approach to education (Proverbs 22:6).  Our program is designed to foster a child’s individual, spiritual, social, emotional, physical, and cognitive development.  This is achieved in part through a developmentally appropriate, play-based curriculum.  Our Christian teaching staff strives to create a loving and nurturing environment where children can feel safe to express themselves and learn at their own pace.  Our goal is to develop an atmosphere that encourages a love for Jesus Christ and a love for learning.    Mission Statement  of Zion Lutheran Early Childhood is to help young chil­dren grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ (2 Peter 3:18) by nurturing their spiritual, social, emotional, physical, and cognitive development (Proverbs 22:6) and equipping them to share the love of Christ with others (Mark 16:15).  

Teacher Assistant   Responsibilities v  Assists classroom teacher in supervision and management of a group of children v  Interacts with, initiates and encourages children in daily activities v  Assist teacher in planning learning activities v  Helps children control behavior using a Christ –centered, positive, consistent approach v  Helps children to grow to become independent. Helps prepare the learning environment; sets up interest centers, prepares, materials v  Assists teacher in record keeping and observations related to Children’s development, health and behavior v  Prepares snacks v  Promotes integral learning during snack/lunch times v  Maintains good communication with parents v  Helps with general housekeeping tasks v  Attends to needs of individual children with sensitivity v  Attends required staff meetings v  Helps build a supportive, caring team v  Assists teacher in other ways needed
