Tidewell Hospice is a non-profit orginization that helps people live well by providing care, comfort and compassion to those faced with a life limiting illness.

Volunteers are asked to commit to 1 year, 25 hours a year. Vol. may host at the Pt. Charlotte Hospice House or provide respite and support for the patient and family. Vol. may also offer social visits to pts. in area nursing facilities.  Tidewell has a small teen program so vol. may assist the coordinator with this youth program.  This is a commitment that will provide an enriching foundation for your future employment and career choices.  

All volunteers will be fingerprinted (at no cost) prior to our 15 hour orientation.  Orientation is offered 4x a year. Upcoming orientations: June 2011, Oct. 2011.  This is a big commitment but you will not find a more gradifying volunteer experience.  Volunteering at Tidewell Hospice will set you apart from other applicants in your field.
