Community Learning Center was established in 1998 in Clearwater, FL to aide local communities by providing free tutoring and acadmic assitance to low-income families. Since it''s beginning the organization has expanded into 6 counties throughout Florida. |
| Job Description: |
Community Learning Center seeks motivated and caring indiviuals to volunteer to assist our certified tutors with monitoring small groups of students. Our students range from Kindergarten to 8th grade. Volunteers may be ask to read to or listen to students read, assist students with an assignment or review work. The hours available are between 2-6pm Monday-Thursday starting in October 2011. A background screening is required, but is paid for by the organization for selected volunteers. |

CLC has a wonderful relationship with our area schools; the organization often works within schools in the Lee county school district. We work closly with school administration which can be a great opporuntiy to meet local administrators if you are interested in a career in education. |
